A Day at Analytica München 2026

The day began with excitement at the Analytica fair in Munich 2026. The venue was easy to spot right from the U-Bahn stop at Messestadt West. Around 35,000 people attended the event, spread across a massive area of 5.4 square kilometres. Because of its size, I could only visit three halls during my time there.

I started in Hall A3, the Life Science and Biotech section. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with scientists, students, and company representatives all talking openly about the future of biotechnology. I introduced myself to several companies and was happy to see their interest in our club’s mission to connect with more people from life science backgrounds. I also visited booths from several Asian companies, which gave me a great chance to learn about their progress and goals in biotechnology. Hall A3 alone took me six full hours to explore.
I then moved on to Halls A2 and A1, which focused on analysis and quality control. The companies there worked with various biochemical molecules, which was a great reminder that career options exist beyond traditional life science roles.
Every student should visit this fair at least once. The exposure to the real world of biotech is truly priceless.
